Longevity Health Tips for Executives

People are living longer than ever and want to be as healthy as possible to enjoy the journey to 100+.

Recently, Dr. Bimal Ashar, in Better Medicine for All, a magazine from Healthnetwork Foundation, suggested these five health tips for executives, which apply to all of us:

  • Sleep – Most common issue among executives is lack of sleep. Chronic lack of adequate rest contributes to a number of diseases.
  • Remain Active – Work and family life have become increasingly demanding due to technological advancements. Make time for yourself and move.
  • Eat a Balanced Diet – No one knows the ideal diet. It is probably different for each individual. Focusing on vegetables and fruits (5-6 servings a day) is a good start.
  • Manage Stress – Find something that helps you deal with the normal stressors of life. Meditation, yoga, exercise, and family time may work for some.
  • Maintain a Healthy Weight – This is difficult, especially if 1-4 are an issue. Pay attention to this because it is very important.

As you review 2017, the year that’s coming to a close, and start creating New Year’s resolutions, keep these five important tips in mind.
